I really enjoy changing out the display over my eat in kitchen buffet. Begging for spring to begin, I went into the attic to find an inspiration piece.
I purchased 4 of these shelves about 5 years ago to make a wall bookcase for the girls. I never finished that project.
I thought at the time if I hung the shelves one under another, it would make a great book shelf unit over a desk. Here was the price I paid.
So this was my inspiration for the buffet. I pulled Grandma's watering can out of the garage.
Here is one of my retrieved bird nests' found in the winter. The eggs were added.
The branches stay on top of the buffet year round for a natural look. The added faux forsythia was draped through the branches.
A vintage wicker picnic basket balanced the look.
The shelf was uprighted
The chairs are missing as they are being updated. Stay tuned for those on a later blog.
It is snowing outside as I write this entry. If I gaze upon the above scene, I can really believe that spring has already arrived.
What a neat idea! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you. Since spring is struggling here even in the south, in my house, springs live on!
