FEBRUARY 25TH—RAIN, RAIN

It is hard to believe that it is only February and the onslaught of rain has produced wonderful results in the flower bed.  I hesitate in being gleeful, because I’m afraid a frost may still be coming.

Look at the results!

VALENTINE CARD 2018

This is a posting that I didn't post last year. It popped up in my February listing, so I thought I would share it with you this year.

We didn't mail out a Christmas card this year, so I thought it would be nice to make a Valentine card using our Christmas picture.

I used some valentine cardstock, a paper pink lace doily and jewels that I had from my sister Terri's stockpile.
I am reminded of my crafty sister Terri every time I make a card. She lives on in my card making as it is so exciting to use her supplies over and over.

VALENTINE CARD 2019

It's time again to design a Valentine for those special family and friends.  This year, I came up with a different type of card.  See if you can figure it out.

I purposely didn't want any lettering on the front of the card.  Can you figure out the message?????

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

VALENTINE MANTLE 2019

Every year, the mantle is filled with valentines and hearts. This year, I decided to simplify.

Aldi's of all places had roses on sale for $3.99  for 6 roses.  I bought a dainty ballet pink and white packages.  I trimmed them up and put them in my white milk pitcher.

I pulled out my favorite Valentine collage and leaned it on the mantle along with a few architectural items.

On a trip upstairs later in the week, I noticed the very vintage French pink mirror that my daughter picked up at the Moss Avenue Sale last June.  For $22.00, I think she got a deal.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

VALENTINE NAIL ART

I wanted to share a birthday gift that was handmade by my youngest daughter.  Mr. Thrifty helped her cut, sand and stain the base of the heart.  Then, she hammered the nails into the wood and weaved the heart with embroidery thread.

I took the picture showing her baby pillow square that I had made her when she was a baby.

Of course, I had to display it in the annual Valentine's Day vignette.

This was a present made with a whole lot of love.  Thank you!
