FINIAL MIRROR-PART 3

In order to begin this project, there was some minor re-gluing before I could begin this project.

Using Elmer's wood glue to reattach the loose piece.

Clamping this overnight would do the trick.

I was looking around the Internet to find something different to mosaic this project rather than using my pastel china mosaics.

I found these tapestry mirror tiles at Hobby Lobby.  I like the look of the mirrored glass pieces because they reminded me of vintage tin tiles that were used in vintage kitchens.

A close up....

Before gluing, I dry fitted the two more ornate areas of the mirror frame.  It took 8 packages of the glass mosaics.

Get the picture????

I will need to cut some of the tiles to fit the curves edges of the frame.

Undoing the wire picture frame holder was the next step.

The mirror itself is taken out to make it easier for me to refinish the frame.

Stay tuned for Part 4.
